Twin Fortresses of the Tywi: Visualizing Medieval Wales through Castell Dinefwr and Castell Dryslwyn is a digital reconstruction project exploring the medieval Welsh castles of Dinefwr and Dryslwyn along the River Tywi. Using contemporary visualization tools and 3D modeling, the project reconstructs these ruined sites to explore how history can be interpreted and experienced through modern technology. Blending historical research with informed speculation, the project examines how digital media can help bring lost architectural narratives back to life.
Castles modeled in 3D Studio Max. Terrain processed in ArcGIS Pro. All textured and rendered in Houdini and Unreal Engine.
